Nothing says spring is here in the North Carolina mountains quite like Mountain Laurel and Rhododendron blooms. This is a Mountain Laurel bloom just after a spring rain.

Here is one of Charlotte’s banking landmarks, the Bank of America Building. I took this picture at dusk because I liked the lighting and the moon. I always like the idea of moon pictures, but the moon always ends up looking so much smaller in my photos than it does in person.

These three pictures were taken with my new camera, and I think the difference in clarity and color is striking. We did not personally feed these chipmunks, but we were able to get very close to them because they were used to being fed.
